SKIP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Veteran Family Organization aim to assist Veterans families in a healthy relationship. Keeping families united and safe. By preventing suicides, domestic violence due to the transition of military service also from combat status, to working their lives into society. Eliminating family homelessness, providing families with emotional support and education to understand their loved one when returning home a changed person from serving our country. Strengthening children to have a healthy relationship with their entire family, and a strong positive foundation for their future. SKIP collaborates with other organizations to assist the needs of the entire family. Regardless of a Veteran's discharge status, SKIP will provide the highest of quality of services for the entire family.
SKIP was developed after SKIP’s founder was informed by her Vietnam Veteran friend more men & women from the Iraq and Afghanistan war have committed suicide than those killed in combat. Plus, many Veterans are returning home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She found this appalling our Men and Woman left their families to fight for us to be safe and free; now returning home with so much pain they were taking their own lives. Leaving their loved ones with the emptiness and pain not having them in their lives. As an American, it’s our responsibility to eliminate suicide and keep families united and safe. Giving our U.S. Military and Veterans' children a strong healthy foundation for their future and generations to come.
